Characters: powder, granular or crystalline powder color or will snow. Odorless or slightly smell of benzoin. Stable in air. Easily soluble in water. Soluble in ethanol. Solution of pH 8 to prevent fermentation and bactericidal power over the weak acid. pH 3.5, the 0.05% solution can completely prevent yeast growth, pH value 6.5, requires more than 2.5% concentration of the solution. This product is functionally equivalent to 1.0g of benzoic acid 1.180g.
